I dont like eggs, well I didnt. Now I think Im becoming more of a fan, even on Phase 2 of the HCG Diet. 
I had gone nearly 11 years without eating eggs whether boiled, fried, poached, or scrambled. Even French toast and crepes were too egg-y for me. On Sunday however, I ate two eggs willingly. So why the sudden change? Let me explain...

Every once in a while we have customers come to our office to pick up product. Last week a customer named Deanna came in (I apologize to Deanna if thats not how her name is spelled), and I talked to her about her HCG journey. It was great hearing about her struggles turning into triumphs. Amid our chatter, I gleaned a specific tip from her experience. Deanna substitutes an egg for her morning apple. I wasnt sure how this would affect me but it seemed to be working for her. 

On Sunday I ate a normal lunch but was feeling really light headed. I thought about how Deanna said the extra egg was a great help to her body. I wasnt too hungry, but I couldnt shake this light headed feeling. Then dinner came and I got this sudden craving for eggs, and only eggs. 

I went a little rogue here, so I cant say what I did is proven to work. However, what I am about to share may be valuable information.

I boiled two eggs and sat down to eat. I wasnt sure how this was going to go, especially considering  how long Id gone without them. I sprinkled a little bit of salt on the first egg and took a bite  It was incredibly satisfying. I finished that egg and the other one without an issue. I did not eat a veggie or a fruit with the meal, just eggs.

The real test would come on the scale. The next morning I was down 2.2 lbs!!! I dont know if it was the eggs or just a lucky loss, but I think there might be something to occasionally having a little more protein. Im not going to do this every regularly, but on the days when I feel weak or light headed Ill probably try it again. 

Im not suggesting this for everyone, it might not work for you. The recommended way to eat eggs on Phase 2 of the  HCG Diet is by combining one whole egg with three egg whites. Im interested in knowing how the recommended substitute works for people who try it, are your losses bigger when you eat eggs?

 I am also interested in the way protein interacts with this diet and Im grateful for Deanna for letting me in on her little secret!
